PrairieSmarts is a risk management platform designed to help financial advisors set expectations with their clients about portfolio outcomes in a complex, fast-paced global marketplace. Branded over the course of employment at Bozell, PrairieSmarts’ innovative analytics capabilities allow for custom reports that present relevant data according to project goals, revealing investment potential and corresponding risks.
The logo was conceived as a fusion of geometric shapes, which reveal a “P” and an “S” letterform upon closer examination. The emergence of the monogram’s letters from a state of “hiddenness” among abstract angles is analogous to the clarity and synthesis that PrairieSmarts offers when facing the overwhelming ambiguity of raw data.
PrairieSmarts’ palette is inspired by technological materials, employing a range of grays that evoke a metallic feel. This is counterbalanced by a lime accent inspired by greens in nature, which visually expresses the “prairie” in PrairieSmarts—linking the tech company to its midwest roots.
PrairieSmarts’ print collateral elaborates on the angular shapes of the logo while maintaining a lightness and clarity that aids readability. The typeface Poppins is applied to body copy text to subtly contrast the Gotham in use in the logotype.
